Focus AI announced a strategic collaboration with Studio M&C to pursue a music IP RWA business, aiming to convert music IP into digital real assets. The partners plan to finalize the acquisition of Busan Digital Asset Exchange’s Bidan by the end of February and fold it into a subsidiary, registering music IPs owned by Studio M&C and its affiliates as real assets on Bidan’s platform to actively develop the music digital asset market. A pilot service for music IP real-asset trading is planned for the first half of next year, with plans to expand collaborations with overseas music labels and global digital asset platforms.
The collaboration seeks to build a next-generation music asset ecosystem by combining Bidan’s real-asset trading infrastructure with Studio M&C’s IP and fandom business capabilities to cover music and fandom assets. Notably, the initiative dovetails with Bidan’s pending STO platform preliminary authorization to broaden the portfolio beyond minerals into music and other RWAs, aiming to generate synergies. Focus AI noted that the collaboration could transform the music value chain through AI and digital asset technology, and that integrating the growing global RWA market with K-Music could position Korea as a global hub for music digital assets.
Studio M&C stated that converting high-quality music IP into real assets could create new value for creators and investors, and that the partnership would maximize the financial potential of music IP and set new standards in the global music assets market. Bidan is Korea’s first digital asset exchange established 100% with private capital under municipal guidance, currently digitizing seven types of tangible assets for trading, including gold, silver, platinum, and copper. With gold prices firming, user interest and trading volumes have surged, and the platform recorded a monthly trading value exceeding 100 billion KRW in October. This year is also expected to swing to profitability.
