Lugano’s Plan ₿ Project, launched in 2022 in collaboration with Tether, aims to establish a decentralized financial infrastructure that enables cryptocurrency payments. The initiative seeks to mainstream digital assets within everyday commerce and to build a scalable payments network across the Lugano ecosystem.
The project has onboarded more than 350 merchants, expanding crypto acceptance across Lugano’s business community. This milestone underscores ongoing efforts to integrate blockchain-based payments into real-world transactions and promote broader DeFi infrastructure.
