Bitcoin traded within a narrow band, consolidating between $87,000 and $88,000 as trading volume jumped 18% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum held around $2,900 after testing an intraday high of $2,973.46, with volume rising 38% in the same period. XRP and Dogecoin were quoted at around $1.86 and $0.1247, respectively, as the broader market paused ahead of year-end.
Bitcoin’s market share sits just below 59%, while Ethereum’s dominance stands around 12%. The crypto market saw more than $80 million in liquidations in the last 24 hours, with short liquidations edging long positions. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index remained in Extreme Fear as traders reassessed risk.
Top gainers over the period included Canton (CC), ZORA (ZORA), and Undeads Games (UDS), illustrating selective movements even as the overall market stagnates. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization hovered near $2.98 trillion, up about 0.28% in the last 24 hours. In traditional markets, stock futures were little changed, while silver surged past $79 amid export restrictions and investors awaited Fed minutes for clues on policy.
