Matcha Meta, the meta-exchange and bridging platform developed by 0x, has added CCTP support to World Chain, enabling direct USDC connectivity without a third-party intermediary via a bridging interface. The update underscores the platform’s aim to streamline cross-chain transfers by leveraging Circle’s smart contracts rather than external custodians.
Since its launch a year ago, Matcha Meta’s trading volume has surged from zero to eight billion dollars, and the platform’s PYUSD trading volume now totals thirty million dollars. The development highlights the growing role of Circle-based settlement in cross-chain bridging and the continued push toward more efficient, high-quality trade executions.
This integration marks a broader shift toward on-chain settlements and direct inter-chain connectivity within the crypto ecosystem. Market participants anticipate faster, more secure cross-chain trades as more platforms adopt Circle-backed contracts.
