Using WebSocket technology, Polymarket streams instant updates and aggregates data into the local order book with no block delay. The architecture blends centralized speed with blockchain security, delivering deep liquidity and restricted-order capabilities that give it an edge in the prediction markets space. Compared with on-chain DEXs like Augur that rely on slower block-based matching, Polymarket’s approach allows faster order matching.
