At Davos, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong outlined advances in tokenization and the growing synergy between cryptocurrency and AI. He noted that tokenization is attracting substantial interest from Fortune 500 companies, with a major breakthrough anticipated by 2026. Armstrong also cited progress in cryptocurrency legislation, notably the CLARITY Act, and praised the Trump administration for its global support of crypto. He emphasized the complementary nature of crypto and AI, pointing to existing infrastructure and expanding real-world applications.

Most notably, Armstrong said Coinbase and Circle are collaborating in Bermuda to establish a fully on-chain economic system, aiming to create a model that can be replicated in other countries. If successful, the Bermuda initiative could serve as a blueprint for a blockchain-driven economy globally.
