In 2026, the paradigm of technology is changing. The AI revolution sparked by ChatGPT is now converging with blockchain as a trusted network to forge a vast business opportunity called Web3. To nurture leaders for future industries, POSTECH’s Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Research Lab (CCBR) co-directors Hong Won-gi and Woo Jong-su will launch the 10th cohort of the Blockchain and Digital Asset Expert Program.
POSTECH announced on the 26th that it will recruit the 10th class to begin on March 18, bringing together Korea’s top scholars and business leaders. The program is designed to train leaders at the intersection of AI and Web3, and a high-profile lineup of faculty will guide the cohort.
The 13-week program emphasizes a cross-disciplinary curriculum delivered by policy, technology, finance, and law experts, described as an “Avengers” team. POSTECH released the detailed schedule, noting that it covers the essence of blockchain and digital assets, as well as emerging themes like STOs, realistic asset tokenization, data, and AI-enabled business.
Part 1 focuses on the essence of blockchain and digital assets. Week 1 (March 18) features an orientation and opening session with MP Min Byung-deok discussing macro trends in virtual asset policy. Week 2 (March 25) covers the History of Money and Cryptocurrency with Woo Jong-su of POSTECH CCBR, and Week 3 (April 1) presents Blockchain Technology and Applications with Hong Won-gi of POSTECH CCBR.
Part 2 centers on 2026’s keywords: STO, RWA, and data. Week 4 (April 8) examines the future of digital finance and tokenized securities with Kim Jong-hyeop, CEO of Parameta. Week 5 (April 15) explores stablecoins with Park Jae-hyun of NOONE21, and Week 6 (April 22) features Digital Asset Market Analysis with On-chain Data by Ju Ki-young, CEO of CryptoQuant.
Part 3 addresses global trends and AI-enabled business. Week 7 (April 29) analyzes the status of the global digital asset market with Steve Young Kim, Director of Business Development for Binance APAC. Week 8 (May 6) covers Applications of Blockchain Technology with Yeon Chang-hak, founder of Block Odyssey. Week 9 (May 13) examines AI Agents and the blockchain-enabled future with Jang Min, CEO of New Primes Labs. Week 10 (May 20) discusses AI in 2026 and anticipated societal changes with Kim Deokjin, adjunct professor at Sejong Cyber University.
Part 4 turns to infrastructure, law, and future strategy. Week 11 (May 27) reviews the current and future of digital asset custody with Cho Jin-seok, CEO of KODA. Week 12 (June 4) considers Korea as a digital asset nation and the search for a new legal framework with Gu Tae-eon, senior partner at Lin Tech Group. Week 13 (June 10) marks the completion ceremony with certificates issued in the POSTECH president’s name.
The program is promoted as more than education; it is a turning point for business, with testimonials from alumni. A director who completed the 4th cohort noted that AI and blockchain fusion classes helped improve hospital clinical workflows. A 4th-cohort graduate from Smart Olive praised the balance of theory and practical business cases as essential for business expansion. A lawyer who completed the 8th cohort stated that the program provided practical insights readily applicable to law firm work.
Enrollment details and early-bird benefits are announced for the 10th cohort. Registration by February 20 offers an early-bird discount, reflecting a reduced fee. The program runs from March 18 to June 10, 2026, every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the venue at the Korea Conference Center near Gangnam Station in Seoul. About 40 participants will be admitted after document screening, and recipients receive a certificate bearing the POSTECH president’s signature along with provisional membership in the POSTECH Alumni Association. The tuition is 4,000,000 KRW, with the early-bird discount of 500,000 KRW lowering the price to 3,500,000 KRW. A POSTECH official described the 10th edition as the only opportunity to ride both waves of AI and blockchain simultaneously and encouraged CEOs and leaders seeking future wealth to participate.
