Nifty Gateway, the Gemini-owned NFT platform, announced in its closure update that it will permanently host metadata and media files for select NFTs. The platform plans to migrate most NFTs to the decentralized storage network Arweave for long-term preservation. However, a small number of NFTs minted in 2021 or earlier will remain permanently hosted on Nifty Gateway’s own servers. Additionally, Nifty Gateway has extended the NFT withdrawal deadline to April 23, providing users with 90 days to withdraw their assets.
The platform is also developing a bulk withdrawal tool to facilitate the transfer of multiple NFTs at once. The update reflects a broader shift toward decentralized storage while retaining on-platform hosting for legacy assets where feasible.
