Pi Network has released a series of technical updates aimed at accelerating Mainnet migration and KYC processing, with millions of Pioneers now eligible to complete migration. Nearly 2.5 million Pioneers who were previously blocked due to additional security and compliance checks are set to migrate, and overall the network has reached 16 million Mainnet migrated Pioneers, highlighting its identity-verified blockchain model. The updates are designed to broaden participation in the Mainnet ecosystem while strengthening security and compliance controls.

In the coming weeks, more than 700,000 Pioneers who were previously ineligible will be able to submit KYC applications, as the network continues processing accounts to ensure large-scale Mainnet migration integrity. Some groups will be unblocked in batches to address corner-case requirements, while the system balances ongoing KYC processing with the need to prevent bad actors from slipping through. KYC validator rewards distribution remains on track for deployment by the end of March 2026, with the design finalized and testing underway to handle the vast volume of validation tasks.

Pi is also exploring palm-print authentication as a beta feature to supplement existing verification methods, aiming to improve liveness checks and account security without relying on facial data. Potential use cases include account recovery, password resets, and two-factor authentication, with a phased rollout beginning in KYC testing and expanding to broader testing before wider adoption.
