DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis announced plans to auction 150 Colorado-themed nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, as part of the state’s 150th birthday celebration. The NFT sale is part of the America 250-Colorado 150 celebration. The auction is scheduled to launch June 1, 2026. “Here in Colorado innovation is part of our code,” Polis said.
Polis made the announcement at the ETHDenver conference in partnership with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. State officials said the NFT sale is part of the broader America 250-Colorado 150 initiative, which was created to encourage residents statewide to participate in commemorative events marking both the nation’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th anniversary. “Today I am excited to announce the launch of 150 Colorado NFTs, a unique way to highlight artists and celebrate our great state.” Proceeds from the NFT sales will support other America 250-Colorado 150 commemorative efforts.
