Crypto.com has become the first digital asset platform to secure ISO 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, the company announced. The certification expands Crypto.com’s regulated security and AI governance stack, reinforcing its commitments to safety as it scales its use of AI tools and technologies.

Kris Marszalek, Crypto.com’s co-founder and CEO, said the milestone demonstrates the company’s continued focus on safety and security standards and supports efforts to maintain a trusted, secure environment as it expands its use of AI tools and technologies. Jason Lau, Crypto.com’s Chief Information Security Officer, added that security and privacy are top priorities for the exchange.

The ISO 42001 certification follows several AI-related partnerships and investments over the past year and places Crypto.com among the earliest companies globally to align its AI governance with the newly issued AIMS framework. Regulators and market participants increasingly emphasize AI governance as AI adoption accelerates across financial markets.
