TRM Labs and Finray Technologies have announced a partnership to deliver audit-ready crypto transaction monitoring for banking and payments workflows. The integration embeds TRM’s blockchain intelligence into Finray’s XZiel compliance engine, enabling real-time alert triage, automated escalation, case management, and continuous risk assessment across crypto and fiat transactions in a single operational environment. As the EU advances its MiCA framework, the collaboration addresses the need for unified on-chain and fiat risk oversight across regulated institutions. The integration targets banks and electronic money institutions expanding into digital-asset products, MiCA-authorized CASPs and VASPs transitioning between service models, exchanges and custodians serving institutional clients, and PSPs or fintech platforms embedding crypto payments within regulated fiat infrastructure.
Key capabilities include actionable compliance at scale, real-time transaction monitoring, wallet screening during onboarding and ongoing KYB checks, and unified case management with a robust audit trail. Actionable risk signals allow focus on high-confidence cases, accelerating investigations and strengthening audit outcomes. Real-time monitoring surfaces TRM risk signals for crypto transfers, wallet interactions, and on-chain exposure, while unified case management documents risk alerts and exposure within the same fiat-monitoring environment. Wallet screening is embedded in onboarding and ongoing monitoring, covering on/off-ramp flows, stablecoin settlements, exchange payouts, and merchant transactions.
Faster market entry for regulated institutions is enabled by embedding on-chain risk intelligence to shorten time-to-market while maintaining regulatory requirements. “Financial institutions and crypto businesses need more than raw blockchain data – they need clear, actionable intelligence that stands up to regulatory scrutiny,” said Morley Gordon, Head of Partnerships at TRM Labs. “Embedding TRM’s blockchain intelligence directly into XZiel gives our customers a single, auditable view of risk across both rails—where they can hold, clear, escalate, and document decisions within one environment.” Potapenko said, “That is what operating under MiCA and evolving supervisory expectations actually demands.” The integration is generally available to TRM and Finray customers. Finray’s infrastructure is EU-hosted and ISO 27001:2022 certified. Institutions can access TRM’s insights via Finray’s platform using their TRM API key for Transaction Monitoring and Wallet Screening.
TRM Labs provides blockchain analytics solutions to help law enforcement and financial institutions detect, investigate, and disrupt crypto-related fraud and financial crime. TRM’s blockchain intelligence platform traces the source and destination of funds, identifies illicit activity, builds cases, and constructs an operating picture of threats.
