Coinbase has announced that its app now supports 24/5 trading of stocks and ETFs for all U.S. users, alongside cryptocurrency, with zero trading fees and the ability to fund instantly via USD Coin (USDC). About 6,000 tickers are currently supported, with plans to add more in the near term.

Subject to regulatory approval, Coinbase Bermuda will offer stock futures for non-U.S. users, and the company plans to introduce tokenized stocks in the future. Tokenized stocks are blockchain-based representations of traditional equities, and last year there were more than 60 tokenized stocks listed on Kraken, Bybit, and Solana-based DeFi platforms. Robinhood added 80 tokenized assets on Arbitrum last October, bringing the total to 493.

Coinbase also announced a partnership with Yahoo Finance. Users can view assets on Yahoo Finance and execute trades on Coinbase with a single click, while Yahoo Finance data will be linked in real time. Coinbase One members earn rewards on their USDC balances, and Yahoo Finance users receive a one-month Coinbase One Basic trial.
