The altcoin season narrative has cooled to two-year lows, according to Santiment. The analytics firm notes that quiet social chatter about altcoins has often preceded notable rallies in the past. This pattern has prompted traders to watch sentiment as a potential early signal.

Santiment’s data tracks weekly mentions of altseason and compares them with price moves of Dogecoin, one of the market’s most speculative assets. Historically, spikes in altseason chatter coincided with price peaks for Dogecoin and other meme coins. Periods of social silence tended to appear near market bottoms.

Google search interest for altcoins has declined in recent weeks. The Altcoin Season Index stands around 43, far below the 75 threshold for a true altseason, indicating that most altcoins are still underperforming Bitcoin. Amid broader market dynamics, the crypto market has shown renewed momentum. Total crypto market capitalization rose to about 2.45 trillion, rising roughly 2% in a day after Trump urged lawmakers to finalize US market structure rules.
