Naver Pay has announced the launch of an NFT-based community service within its non-custodial wallet, Npay Wallet. The move expands the wallet’s functionality beyond storage to include NFT-backed social features that enable topic-based discussion and interaction. The Npay Wallet Community is built on NFTs and will host open channels tied to events and topics, such as Jeju’s Nowda digital tourism pass and game broadcasts on the Chzzk platform.

A set of closed ticket-verification rooms will be accessible only to holders of relevant NFTs and event tickets, including those issued by the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). The community is planned to broaden into additional content areas—sports, games, and performances—driven by NFT ownership. Beginning March 31, Naver Pay intends to host a participatory event linked to Chzzk broadcasts, allowing fans to engage while watching games. The service is expected to operate communities for major sports and gaming events with Chzzk to create an immersive environment for attendees who have watched the events.

Naver Pay aims to extend the platform to entertainment events such as large concerts, positioning Npay Wallet as an NFT-based fandom hub. A launch promotion will reward participation; users who complete three types of missions—such as liking posts, commenting, and creating posts—will earn ₩1,000 in Npay points, with select posters eligible for additional prizes up to ₩50,000. Lee Mi-young, head of Pay Infrastructure & Business at Naver Pay, described the wallet as evolving from a storage tool into a platform for community experiences and fandom activities, with ongoing plans to roll out new events and features to boost active user interaction.
