On March 13, the DeFi protocol Ammalgam officially launched on mainnet. The protocol integrates lending, borrowing, and trading into a single on-chain system—creating a Decentralized Lending Exchange (DLEX)—aiming to enable capital reuse and enhance liquidity efficiency. Simultaneously, the team launched strategy Vaults built on Lagoon Finance’s infrastructure, enabling users to deposit assets such as USDC, ETH, or BTC to earn passive yields. The protocol raised a $2.5 million seed round in 2024, co-led by Lightspeed Faction and Framework Ventures.
The launch signals an expanded DeFi suite that combines core primitives into one platform, potentially improving capital efficiency across on-chain markets. This integrated offering underscores Ammalgam’s progress as it scales its on-chain ecosystem.
