Two Mainers will receive back $470,000 after falling victim to a cryptocurrency scam, the Department of Justice announced on Friday. The DOJ said the two victims lost more than $800,000 in cryptocurrency, and the FBI was able to seize $470,000 of that money. The U.S. Attorney’s Office reminded Mainers to stay cautious when it comes to any cryptocurrency transactions. If you think you or someone you know is already the victim of a scam, report it to the FBI immediately.
