USD.AI, a synthetic dollar protocol designed for AI-powered financial infrastructure, announced that it will support USDai minting on Ethereum using USDC. USDai is a fully collateralized, low-risk stablecoin designed for instant redemption, and it does not distribute interest to holders but provides high liquidity across DeFi and centralized exchanges. Minting proceeds in two steps: USDC is swapped to PayPal Dollars (PYUSD), which is then deposited to mint USDai; the issued USDai can be received on all supported chains.

The process uses LiFi Protocol’s swap functionality, with the route routed through a Curve Finance pool managed by Spark to minimize slippage and improve liquidity efficiency. USD.AI said the update aims to diversify stablecoin issuance routes and broaden on-chain liquidity access across ecosystems.
