Save the Children and Korbit announced the launch of a second crypto donation campaign to support families in crisis in Korea. The first campaign, conducted from October 2025 through February 2026, was Korea’s first crypto-based charitable effort and provided meals to affected children. Funds raised from the first campaign supported 17 weeks of meals, delivering two weekly distributions totaling five meals each.
The second campaign, running until June 30, focuses on providing living expenses and medical costs for vulnerable families, including those needing rehabilitation therapy. From now on, donors can contribute using USDC in addition to the existing four cryptocurrencies, expanding to a total of five asset types. Donors can also receive year-end tax receipts just as in the first campaign. Gang Beom-su, head of Save the Children’s fundraising and marketing team, said the first campaign demonstrated that crypto donations could translate into tangible value for children’s meals, and that the second campaign would continue to ensure more crisis-affected children access needed treatment and living support.
By broadening donation options and incorporating stablecoins, the initiative aims to widen donor access and accelerate relief for families in need. The campaign underscores the growing role of digital assets in philanthropy and the potential to scale charitable impact through crypto.
