Stand With Crypto has endorsed six battleground U.S. congressional candidates in states expected to be hard-fought in the November midterms, backing incumbents who have been supportive of the crypto industry. The organization said it will marshal its membership to vote and will pay for media campaigns, and it will oppose politicians with records against crypto interests in two districts. The endorsements include Republican Zach Nunn in Iowa and Democrat Don Davis in North Carolina.
A cross-party poll conducted by Impact Research shows that neither party has a clear majority among crypto voters, with Republicans favored 45% to 26%. Crypto enthusiasts are highly motivated to vote, with 64% saying they are enthusiastic about supporting pro-crypto candidates.
Even if Congress passes the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act before the election, other crypto policy needs remain, including tailoring the U.S. tax system for crypto and establishing a U.S. strategic bitcoin reserve that President Donald Trump ordered. Democrats are likely to control at least one chamber by then, potentially shifting crypto policy priorities. Kalshi markets price Democrats taking the House majority at more than 84%, while the Senate outlook is closer to a coin flip. The group also endorsed Susie Lee, Mike Lawler, Greg Landsman, and Rob Bresnahan.
