DataCityWeMarket will accelerate overseas expansion for its real-world asset tokenization (RWA) platform. The company will host the RWA Overseas Expansion Conference on April 9 at the Riverside Hotel in Seoul’s Sinsa-dong, where it will officially unveil its global expansion strategy focused on developing markets.

This conference will disclose the overseas projects DataCityWeMarket is pursuing, highlighting RWA business directions and execution plans in Africa and the Middle East. It emphasizes deploying a digital-based financial model in regions where traditional financial infrastructure is insufficient, with the growth of smartphones facilitating stablecoins and RWA-based finance to widen access to asset-backed investments. The company notes that developing markets in the Third World are the primary targets for its strategy, citing low access to traditional financial systems alongside rapidly increasing smartphone penetration.

Nigeria and Egypt have been identified as focal markets. Nigeria is seen as a high-potential market due to its population of over 200 million, with a context where RWA-based investment structures could help address infrastructure gaps. Sectors such as smart farming, minerals, energy, and consumer goods could adopt asset tokenization as an investment model.

In Egypt, development projects centered on the Sinai Peninsula are highlighted as major pillars, combining significant capital with geopolitical and economic expansion considerations. The Nigeria project is reported to be led by GECF, with GECF President Harri Huang reportedly taking on the role of local investment officer; on December 15, DataCityWeMarket and GECF signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a cooperative framework. DataCityWeMarket aims to (i) pursue long-term development and (ii) implement an exit strategy leveraging local networks, as part of its overseas push. Company officials said the conference will be the starting point for its global RWA expansion and will articulate concrete opportunities that connect real assets with digital finance.
