Michael Penix of the Falcons suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury during his team’s loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday (November 16).

He had previously torn his ACL twice in college (2018 and 2020).

He also missed a game this season in Week 8 after sustaining a bone bruise to the same knee in Week 7.

This latest injury could sideline him for the rest of the 2025 season.

Penix sustained the injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game and was replaced by veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is expected to start in his absence.
