Bitcoin traded late Monday below $90,000 for the first time since April, continuing a rout that has erased roughly 16% from its price over the past month.
The world’s largest cryptocurrency briefly fell to $89,426 before hovering just under the $90,000 level.
In the past 24 hours, Bitcoin was down more than 5.3%, a move that has wiped out all of its gains so far in 2025.

Ether, the second-largest by market capitalization, slipped below $3,000, dipping more than 5.6% in the same period.
Other major tokens followed lower: XRP down about 3.9%, Binance Coin (BNB) around 3.0%, and Solana (SOL) about 3.2%.
Meme token Dogecoin also retreated by roughly 3.8%.

The declines amplify broader macro concerns weighing on risk assets, including expectations that the Federal Reserve may not cut interest rates further in December.
The latest slide underscores the volatility facing crypto markets as traders reassess liquidity and demand in a tightening cycle.
