Upbit, a South Korea-based digital asset exchange, has started trading support for Meteora (MET2), a notable project in the Solana ecosystem.
MET2 will be available on KRW, BTC, and USDT trading pairs, with deposits and withdrawals going live within two hours of the announcement.
Spot trading is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM on November 18, subject to network checks and readiness.
Users are urged to confirm they are operating on the Solana network before sending MET2, as transfers from other networks are not supported and refunds for erroneous transfers may take a long time.
At launch, trading will include restrictions such as buy orders limited for the first five minutes and selling prohibited 10% below the previous closing price during the same window; only limit orders will be accepted for about two hours, with price limits informed by CoinMarketCap data.
MET2 is described as a DeFi infrastructure offering liquidity solutions through the DLMM and DAMM mechanisms on Solana, with MET2 tokens expected to reward initial liquidity providers and potentially support staking and governance in the future.
