President Donald Trump has pardoned Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, erasing Zhao’s criminal record stemming from a 2023 plea to violations of the Bank Secrecy Act.

Binance has had dealings with World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture co-founded by Trump’s sons Donald Jr. and Eric, prompting questions about potential conflicts of interest and the influence of crypto business on policy.
