Tom Lee, the chairman of Bitmine’s board, said his role is to assess long-term trends by focusing on macro conditions and liquidity. Fundstrat’s Shawn Farrell, the head of digital assets strategy, handles the model portfolio and actual position sizing, focusing on cash flow and risk management.
Earlier, Tom Lee said in an interview that Bitcoin could reach an all-time high before the end of January 2026. Farrell, in a report dated the 17th, projected Bitcoin could fall to $60,000–$65,000 in the first half of 2026, with Ethereum at $1,800–$2,000.
Lee said the short-term risk-management view and the long-term optimistic view are not in conflict; they simply reflect different criteria. The two approaches can be pursued simultaneously.
