Three minutes from Exit 8 of Eonju Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, localhost: web3 opened in August as a non-profit sharing space designed to foster blockchain experimentation. The venue’s location and purpose reflect Korea’s evolving Web3 scene, aiming to provide a collaborative environment for developers and researchers alike. The project is led by four organizers—Lee Joon-beom, Shadlab Takrid, Orca engineer Bu Hyun-sik, Altos Ventures judge Oh Young-taek, and Flipster strategy director Jang Hyun-ik—who intend to create a space where AI and blockchain communities can converge, host seminars, and exchange ideas. Looking ahead, localhost: web3 seeks to host seminars, hackathons, and collaborative projects that blend AI and blockchain innovation.
