Shiba Inu has unveiled a formal compensation framework named Shib Owes You (SOU) to repay users affected by the Plasma Bridge hack, converting verified losses into tradable NFTs on Ethereum. Each NFT represents the exact amount owed and updates in real time as repayments are made. The system aims to provide a transparent, on-chain record of claims rather than promises or spreadsheets.

Users will be able to merge claims from multiple wallets into a single NFT or split tokens to liquidate portions of their positions. The tokens themselves will be tradable on supported marketplaces. Funding the repayments comes in part from restructuring: paused non-revenue projects and channeling future licensing revenue from Shiba Inu IP into a restitution fund.

The SOU smart contract stack has been audited by Hexens to ensure safe minting, balance updates, and transfers, while the Plasma Bridge itself has been restored with stronger security features, including a seven-day recall and hardware-secured contracts. All operational decisions are being guided by the priority of complete reimbursement for affected users.
