Ruble-linked stablecoin A7A5 rose to about $90 billion in circulation last year, outpacing major dollar-based stablecoins such as USDT and USDC as the fastest-growing. USDT expanded by about $49 billion and USDC by about $31 billion during the same period. A7A5 was introduced in January of last year by A7 LLC as a ruble-based token, with issuance conducted through an entity in the Kyrgyz Republic. It trades on the TRC-20 and ERC-20 networks and is not currently listed on major centralized exchanges, being distributed solely through Uniswap.
