Rain, the global stablecoin payments platform for enterprises, today announced a $250 million Series C funding round led by ICONIQ, with participation from Sapphire Ventures, Dragonfly, Bessemer Venture Partners, Galaxy Ventures, FirstMark, Lightspeed, Norwest, and Endeavor Catalyst. The round values Rain at $1.95 billion, bringing total funding to over $338 million and highlighting strong momentum just four months after its Series B and ten months after its Series A. Stablecoins have rapidly evolved from a niche crypto concept into one of the world’s largest value-transfer rails, setting the stage for Rain to scale its on-chain payments infrastructure for businesses and consumers.
Rain’s end-to-end platform enables companies to launch compliant stablecoin cards that work wherever Visa is accepted, offer rewards, convert fiat into stablecoins, power secure wallets, and facilitate payouts. The company currently processes more than $3 billion in annualized transactions for more than 200 partners, including Western Union, Nuvei, and KAST. Rain intends to use the new capital to expand its licensed footprint across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, enabling partners to deploy compliant solutions globally. The funding will deepen Rain’s full-stack stablecoin payments platform through strategic acquisitions and the development of new products designed to make stablecoin-powered payments seamless for both businesses and consumers.
Rain is described as the global stablecoin payments platform for enterprises, neobanks, platforms, and developers, with technology that moves, stores, and uses stablecoins instantly and compliantly through payment cards, rewards, onramps, wallets, and cross-border rails.
