Billy Markus, who co-created the meme coin DOGE with Jackson Palmer in 2013, has addressed the community with another sarcastic crypto tweet. This time, he spoke about the likelihood of new price all-time highs in the near future. In his message, he suggested that while the market seems to be doing well, he hardly expects Bitcoin or Ethereum to reach a new all-time high soon. He has stated in his earlier posts that he respects Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and a few other altcoins.
“Man, crypto is doing good and all,” Markus told his 2.2 million followers on X. Despite his respect for top cryptos and his role in creating Dogecoin, he does not believe in crypto trading, likening it to gambling or even a mental disease. He has historically cautioned against speculative bets while acknowledging the sector’s influence.
The last time Bitcoin hit a new all-time high was Oct. 6, when BTC reached $126,198. It is currently trading around $95,000 per coin, roughly 25% below that peak. The move followed geopolitical actions by the United States, with price pressure easing in recent days after the Department of Justice confronted Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell over an investigation.
