Metavesco congratulated DeFi Dev Corp on the launch of its DONT memecoin, marking it as the second publicly traded company to issue a memecoin. Metavesco previously pioneered public-market memecoin activity in September 2025 when OTCfi launched via Pump.fun on the Solana blockchain, and it was the first public company to claim creator rewards on Pump.fun and to execute a retail token airdrop.
“We welcome DeFi Dev Corp to the public company memecoin space,” said Ryan Schadel, CEO of Metavesco. “Competition validates the thesis. When a Nasdaq company follows the path we pioneered on the OTC, it proves that innovation doesn’t require a big board listing, it just requires vision and execution. We were first, and we’re proud of that.”
Metavesco has established a track record as a first mover at the intersection of public markets and blockchain innovation: it was the first fully reporting public company to launch liquidity pools on Uniswap, the first to recognize revenue from an airdrop (ApeCoin), and the first to own a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT. It was also the first public company to launch a memecoin via OTCfi, to claim creator rewards on Pump.fun, and to airdrop a token to the trading community, and it recently became the first public company to have its memecoin listed on CoinGecko.
