Rick Rieder emerges as a leading candidate to lead the Federal Reserve, with odds cited at 59.9% versus 22% for Kevin Warsh, according to a post by a representative of “1011 Insider Whale.” If appointed, Rieder’s chairmanship could positively influence on-chain real-world assets (RWA) and Ethereum. Analysts expect easier on-chain RWA conversion, reduced regulatory resistance, and accelerated institutional inflows, along with potential strengthening of U.S. Treasuries and the bond market, contributing to fiscal health.
Markets view the prospect of his leadership as a tailwind for ETH and RWAs. Pantera Capital partner Franklin Bi argues that quantum computing competition is underway and that traditional finance underestimates the benefits of blockchain upgrades, pointing to Ethereum’s Merge as a key example. He also notes that advances in quantum computing could heighten the value of security assets on Ethereum and other core blockchains, reinforcing their centrality in the crypto ecosystem.
