Transpamer Co., Ltd., led by CEO Kim Ki-hyun, and XRPL Korea have signed an open-innovation memorandum of understanding to tokenize global non-performing loan assets as real-world assets. The agreement sets up a joint initiative to pursue RWA tokenization of NPL portfolios.
The collaboration aims to apply XRPL-based RWA concepts to unlock liquidity in NPL assets by tokenizing them on the XRP Ledger. The parties will evaluate governance, regulatory considerations, and the technology framework needed for a potential token issuance. This development reflects rising interest in real-world asset tokenization within the finance and crypto sectors, potentially expanding liquidity channels for lenders and investors.
