In the first asset disclosure under the new administration, one of four senior officials was found to have invested in or held virtual assets. Minister Choi Dong-seok reported the largest crypto stake, totaling about KRW 2.674 billion. He and his spouse held 11 different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, XRP, Dischain, BoA, Bitcoin Cash, Solana, Ethereum, and Tether, with a total of 11 assets declared. Choi said the reported crypto assets had been disposed of after taking office, and only non-tradable assets remained.

Kim Nam-guk, the former Digital Communications Secretary to the Presidential Office, reported the second-largest crypto holdings, including dozens of altcoins totaling about KRW 1.217 billion. The report also notes that some of these assets are non-tradable.

Oh Moon-gyo, the former Police University president, reported crypto holdings of about KRW 780 million. His spouse and children own Dogecoin (1,340 coins) and more than four Bitcoins.

Lee Han-jun, the former LH president, reported crypto assets totaling about KRW 130 million. This includes more than 11,399 Dogecoin held by his eldest son.
