OKX Ventures is backing a real-world asset (RWA)-backed stablecoin developed by Securitize in collaboration with tokenization platform STBL and private markets manager Hamilton Lane. The product will be issued on OKX’s X Layer network and backed by tokenized exposure to Hamilton Lane’s Senior Credit Opportunities Fund through a feeder structure arranged by Securitize.
The stablecoin employs a dual-token design intended to separate the stable unit from yield generation, a structure aimed at addressing regulatory concerns that seek to distinguish stable payment instruments from investment products. Returns would accrue at the collateral layer rather than be paid directly to holders, while STBL emphasizes programmable settlement and compliant yield management. Securitize is a leading tokenization platform with over $4 billion of tokenized assets, backed by BlackRock and Morgan Stanley, and the initiative comes as US regulators scrutinize passive yield on stablecoins.
