World Liberty Financial (WLFI) jumped 19% as expectations grew that favorable factors related to WLFI would be announced at the World Liberty Forum in Mar-a-Lago. On the 19th, WLFI was trading at $0.1206 on Binance, up 11.67% from 24 hours earlier, after rising to $0.1294 the previous day.
World Liberty Financial (WLFI) is a project co-founder of U.S. President Donald Trump’s two sons, Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. WLFI’s X WLFI surged as the World Liberty Forum got underway at the Mar-a-Lago Resort in Florida. The forum was attended by top U.S. financial officials, including Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson, NYSE President Lynn Martin and Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman. Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Jack Witkoff and Alex Witkoff were also present as speakers.
At the forum, WLFI officially announced its plan to tokenize its stake in loans related to the Trump International Hotel & Resort Maldives, which is being developed in the Maldives, into a blockchain token. It was also reported that Apex Group, an asset management and fund service company, is considering ways to speed up the settlement of tokenized assets by testing the introduction of USD1 into traditional fund-management workflows; USD1 is a stablecoin issued by WLFI.
WLFI also introduced a global remittance service based on USD1, named World Swap, which the company claims could revolutionize the $7 trillion remittance market by directly connecting with bank accounts worldwide to handle foreign-exchange payments at a low fee. Elemental Royalty Corporation, listed on the Canadian Stock Exchange, announced that it will offer dividends in the form of Tether Gold (XAUT). The company earns royalties from gold, silver and copper mines worldwide, including Chilean copper mines, Serbian copper mines, and Australian gold mines. It has strengthened its collaboration with Tether after Tether acquired a third of its stake, giving shareholders exposure to gold through XAUT.
