OKX has officially launched the Agent Trade Kit, the industry’s first open-source trading toolkit designed for AI Agents and professional traders, featuring 83 tools covering the entire trading cycle and supporting spot and derivatives. It provides two access methods: the MCP server for natural-language operation and the CLI tool for developers performing high-frequency or automated script trading. It includes a built-in simulated trading environment, allowing users to test strategies with real market data before switching to live trading. In terms of security design, API keys are stored locally and signed locally, with permission isolation and read-only mode, and the toolkit is part of OKX’s effort to build AI-native trading infrastructure, aiming for cross-market collaboration with Onchain OS across CEX and DEX.

Agent Trade Kit aims to dismantle the wall between AI analysis and execution by enabling AI Agents to connect directly to the OKX exchange and complete the process from analysis to order placement within a single conversation. It supports mainstream AI clients including Claude, OpenClaw, Cursor, VS Code, and all tools compatible with the MCP protocol. Agent Trade Kit is live on npm with two versions: okx-trade-mcp (MCP server) and okx-trade-cli (CLI tool), making it the most comprehensively functional exchange MCP product on the market. With 83 tools across 7 major modules spanning five trading categories—spot, perpetual contracts, delivery contracts, options, and margin trading—it covers the complete trading lifecycle from market data acquisition to strategy execution.

Options trading is one of its most unique capabilities, providing AI Agents with real-time access to options markets. Hedging position risk, seeking directional gains with limited loss, and constructing multi-leg options strategies are enabled by Agent Trade Kit. Algorithmic Orders let users set OCO orders, trailing stops, and conditional triggers using natural language, translating intents into specific order parameters. Strategy Trading enables configuring grid strategies and DCA strategies conversationally, and the toolkit includes four plug-and-play skills modules—Market Data, Trade Execution, Portfolio Management, and Strategy Trading—while enforcing local API keys, module-level permissions, read-only mode, rate limiting, anomaly protection, and MIT license open-source status.
