Splinterlands has announced a strategic partnership with AtomicHub, a leading NFT platform, to enhance liquidity and interoperability of assets within its trading card game ecosystem. The alliance follows AtomicHub’s acquisition by Spielworks, a move expected to unlock new functionalities across both platforms. Previously, Splinterlands and AtomicHub collaborated on the WAX bridge to facilitate cross-chain trading of card NFTs. The new partnership aims to refine these processes, improving the speed and accessibility for users trading with WAXP tokens.

The vitality of marketplace liquidity is critical, directly influencing card values and the overall user experience, especially for newcomers. The collaboration also focuses on easing onboarding, reducing barriers for entry for players who might face substantial upfront costs.

Since its inception in 2018, Splinterlands has built a robust Web3 card game community, boasting over 860 NFT cards with blockchain-verified ownership. The game also features a governance token, SPS, enabling community participation in key development decisions.

Both Splinterlands and AtomicHub frame the partnership as a foundation for future multi-chain initiatives, with AtomicHub’s cross-chain connections potentially expanding trading volumes and visibility in top NFT marketplaces. The teams also highlighted that the collaboration is about building durable connections that benefit their communities.
