Global cryptocurrency markets traded lower after geopolitical tensions surrounding the Hormuz Strait intensified and U.S. officials threatened maritime seizures. Bitcoin fell 3.48% in the last 24 hours, trading at $71,021. Earlier, Bitcoin had declined to as low as $76,655, with the $71,000 level briefly breached.

Ethereum dropped 4.90% to $2,195, while Ripple slid 2.87% to $1.33 and Binance Coin fell 3.24% to $592, as part of a broad market retreat. The declines come amid heightened tension as Trump warned that all ships transiting Hormuz could be blocked and vessels paying tolls could be seized. Traders will monitor nearby support levels and evolving geopolitical signals for clues on the next move in Bitcoin and other major assets.
