Bitcoin fell by more than $2,000 within minutes after news that U.S.-Iran negotiations had collapsed, erasing earlier gains near the $70,000 level. The asset was trading around $71,500 at press time, with a market capitalization near $1.43 trillion. The broader market’s reaction underscored ongoing sensitivity to geopolitical headlines, with volatility likely to remain elevated in the near term.
Altcoins broadly followed BTC lower, with ETH down about 1% but staying above $2,200 and XRP slipping to around $1.33. BNB hovered below $600, while SOL declined more than 2% and ADA, BCH, and LINK fell 3% or more. DOT saw larger adjustments as risk appetite cooled.
RAVE surged about 40% in a day, lifting its weekly gains to over 1,000%. The token moved into the top 100 by market capitalization. Analysts say such moves show capital flowing into individual projects even as the overall market cools.
